Administration of beta-glycerophosphate to rodents significantly increased phospholipids in the liver and bile without affecting bile acid and cholesterol levels. It has been observed in mouse experiments that phospholipid is increased by β-glycerophosphate, which in turn dissolves cholesterol calculus. Therefore, it is of great clinical significance. However, long-term toxicity studies of beta-glycerophosphate have not been reported. To this end, the authors explored the long-term toxicity of beta-glycerophosphate in rats. The authors selected male Wistar rats weighing 220-225 g to conduct experiments, divided into two groups of nine animals per group. The normal basal diet and the same diet containing 2.5% beta-glycerophosphate were fed for 33 weeks, respectively. From the calculated feed consumption
