In the die-cast 356 alloy, the effect of chemical modification of addition of Sr or Na on the aluminum matrix has been studied. The solution heat treatment time and artificial aging time are the two parameters that need to be evaluated when the heat treatment is conducted. Under as-cast conditions, the deterioration has no effect on the macroscopic hardness of the aluminum matrix (ie, the hardness of the aluminum matrix and eutectic Si) or the microhardness. However, deterioration affects the heat-treatable aluminum matrix. The metamorphic alloy T_6 after tempering tempered alloy compared with unmodified alloy its hardness and yield strength lower.
