学术期刊的价值链是指,从新思想产生到形成学术论文、同行评议、出版以至期刊到达读者的过程中,所有增加价值的步骤所组成的全部有组织的一系列活动。给出学术期刊价值链的精确定义,分析了价值链上各角色的定位;基于数字出版时代的特征,定义了数字出版时代学术期刊的价值链;并描绘了学术期刊价值链的评价体系。最后,介绍《中国科学》系列期刊和《科学通报》在价值链实践中的经验,期望对数字出版时代构建卓越的学术期刊价值链有所启发,以促进学术期刊的良性发展。
The value chain of an academic journal refers to the entire range of organized activities that take place from the creation of new ideas to the formation of scholarly papers, peer reviews, publications, and even the arrival of the journal in the reader, all through value-adding steps. Based on the characteristics of the digital publishing era, the value chain of the academic journals in the era of digital publication is defined. The evaluation system of the academic journals’ value chain is also delineated. Finally, we introduce the experiences of “China Science” series and “Science Bulletin” in value chain practice and hope to inspire the value chain of academic journals to build excellent digital publishing era in order to promote the healthy development of academic journals.
