文化与旅游规划研究所(原为旅游规划研究中心)成立于1999年,主要职能是为部委、各级政府及文化旅游行业提供规划设计咨询和社会公益服务,重点承担文化与旅游行业及相关专业的基础与应用研究、关键技术与行业发展政策研究规划标准编制、文化和旅游领域的公益性技术咨询和规划设计服务(包括文化与旅游资源保护、文化旅游产业发展、文化旅游扶贫、灾后重建中的文化与旅游专项规划等)、各类文化遗产地(项目)的保护与利用规划、区域旅游规划与旅游景区规划设计等。
