反馈是控制论中的一个重要概念、教学过程是一个教师向学生传授系统知识的过程,也是信息的流通过程,因此,必然存在着反馈的问题,反馈就是把系统某一部分输出的信息再返回到输入部分的过程.反馈分正反馈和负反馈,如果反馈使系统的输入对输出的影响增大,导致系统的运动加剧发散,是正反馈;反之,如果反馈系统的输入对输出的影响减少,使系统偏离目标运动收敛,趋向于稳定状态,则是负反馈.反馈的最终目的就是要求对客观变化的情况作出相应的反应.电大教学是一个由主讲教师、辅导教师、文字教材、音像教材、各种传播手段以及作为教学主体的学生等因素组成的系统.能否达到电大教学的整体优化,提高教学质量,来自学生方面的灵敏、有力的反馈成为一个重要的、甚至可以说是关键的原因.
