天津港有码头岸线１．７万ｍ，其中９５％以上是第一航务工程局建设完成的。在建设过程中发展和完善了多项施工技术，使之达到国际先进水平。如重力式结构在天津港的应用问题、软基加固问题、较大直径桩的打设问题等。为适应天津港进一步的开发与建设，除上述问题外，尚需对符的入土深度与承载力的问题、噪音小功率大的打桩设备、已建水工建筑物的维修技术、高强混凝土及高强粘合剂等做进一步研究。
