The first batch of domestic Beidou HM2000 cross-section buoys purchased by the National Science and Technology Infrastructure Special Project and the Key Project of Argo Real-time Ocean Survey of the Western Pacific were undertaken by the Second Institute of Oceanography of the State Oceanic Administration and deployed to the basin waters in the central South China Sea, The “South China Sea Argo Regional Ocean Observation Network” led by our country officially kicked off the construction. It is reported that HM2000-type profile buoy by the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation 710 Institute developed, is based on Beidou satellite navigation system for data transmission and positioning of automatic
