Foreign reports: According to the U.S. scientists, the lack of zinc in pregnant women suggests that their children may have trouble learning and memory based on the results of the rat experiment. Researchers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture underlined that laboratory tests are not directly related to humans, but said “the finding is enough to motivate pregnant women to eat foods rich in zinc, such as oysters and liver, right after their pregnancy.” The agency’s Center for Human Nutrition published a study at the annual meeting of the Boston Neurological Society. The report said that in the laboratory, feeding pregnant mice and suckling mice with mild zinc deficiency can result in the memory and learning ability of offspring in mice
