There has long been a debate in the translation community about two translation strategies, alienation and naturalization. The differences between the two translation strategies are largely reflected in the different treatment of cultural images. Different translators or translation theorists often have different perspectives on this issue. Even the same translator may use different translation strategies when dealing with different literary works. So in the translation of cultural images, the kind of strategy is more desirable it? Translation strategy should be based on the purpose of the translation, the audience of readers, publishers and other factors such as the formulation of the intention. However, in translating works for the purpose of disseminating information, culture should be disseminated as much as possible in ensuring the cognitive ability of the target and the reader. When translating the works for the purpose of disseminating culture, we should consider as much as possible the cognitive ability of the target audience while spreading the culture.
