Objective In order to protect the health of civil aviation pilots, the cosmic radiation dose during flight was monitored, and the accuracy of the estimation system and actual dosimeter were compared. Methods Pilots who elect 11 round-trip flights wear personal dosimeters and test the level of radiation exposure. At the same time, using the cosmic radiation dose estimation system CARI-6 developed by Civil Aviation Administration of America (CAA) to calculate the exposure of cosmic radiation of pilots of the same route, The results of the method are compared. Results The accuracy ratio of computer simulation data to actual data of 7 international routes was 1.06 ± 0.32. The accuracy ratio of computer simulation data to actual data of the two domestic routes was 0.82 ± 0.08. The maximum radiation dose rate on international round-trip flight was 4.12μSv / h, Domestic flights to the maximum radiation dose rate of 2.26μSv / h. Conclusion The two methods have good agreement. Pilots receive thousands of hours cosmic radiation effective doses below the limits recommended by ICRP and our national standards, but pilots who may be exposed to higher cosmic radiation should still take precautions.
