After years of unremitting efforts, computer makers finally find their products in the homes of the people to find the right place. After Christmas propaganda, almost a third of U.S. homes now have PCs. In fact, AT & T, IBM, and AST think the popularity of home PCs and telephony now exceeds that of video game consoles. Each of these companies offers a full range of fully functional systems with easy-to-use telecommunications features that users can comfortably access from a full graphical interface. These systems are equipped with CD-ROM drives, sound cards, speakers and other multimedia peripherals. Most importantly, they are cheap.
