我于1993年4月调进人民日报社担任分管评论、理论宣传的副总编辑。当时中国社会科学院研究生院新闻系由人民日报社管理,设在人民日报社的九号楼。我常被邀请去新闻系给研究生们讲课,接着就被邀担任了硕士研究生的指导老师。1998年新闻系开始招收博士研究生,我进而被研究生院聘为博士生导师。我在人民日报社任上,因为编务和担任的一部分社务比较忙,因此带的学生并不多,只带了三任硕士生和两任博士生。2003年,我为写一篇博士论文的阅评意
In April 1993, I transferred to the People’s Daily as the deputy chief editor in charge of criticism and theoretical propaganda. At that time, the press department of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was managed by the People’s Daily and located in the No. 9 Building of the People’s Daily. I was often invited to give lectures to graduate students in the journalism department, then I was invited to work as a master instructor. The Department of Journalism started to recruit doctoral students in 1998, and I was later hired by a graduate school as a doctoral supervisor.
