A group of people wearing sea-hood shirts appeared in the crowded Kunming Tongde Plaza, they gathered in the fourth floor of the Peanut Bookstore. This day is July 25. Many people do not know that in the far Northwest city of Delingha, Haizi Poetry Festival is being held. In the business district, a bookstore is valuable; in the diet of men and women, a group of people who gather for poetry is rare. The “Dianchi Lake” literary magazine participated in this event, and the organization called for a group of young poets who are active in Kunming’s poetry circle to read their works. In the poet far away March 26, 1989, the poet Hai Zi lying on track to commit suicide. This bright star, rising in the Chinese poetry circles, has fallen in tragedy for the era in which the idealism prevailed. Solzhenitsyn once said: “We will all die, only the immortality of literature.” Haizi proved Solzhenitsyn with life and poetry. While making the body decadent, it also polished Haizi’s poetic light. Haizi, no doubt has become an undead soul.
