晋煤外运不仅是当前铁路运输最为紧迫的任务,也是今后一、二十年内必须解决的主要问题。经过多年研究,打算采用重载列车来解决。关于这一点,现在认识上已基本一致了。在铁路运输上采用重载列车,应该说是一项重要的技术政策,它的采用势必导致一系列铁路技术装备和运输组织工作的改革。在这场改革中,广大车辆工作者是大有可为的,我们要为解决配套的货车、转向架、车钩、缓冲器和制动机等关键设备付出辛勤的劳动。最近,齐厂已试制出C_(61)缩短型敞车,戚墅堰所研制出大吨位低合金钢车钩,制动方面也正在组织攻关,……为了集思广益,给领导和有关部门出谋献策,为这场改革助一臂之力,本刊编辑部决定在刊物上开展关于“重载列车要求什么样的车辆配套设备?”的问题讨论。本期首先发表铁道部车辆局胡逸平、李绍光同志的文章,欢迎广大车辆工作者围绕货车、转向架、车钩、缓冲器和制动机等方面,踊跃撰写文章,各抒己见,畅谈体会,把这场讨论既热烈活跃又扎扎实实地开展起来。
