猎潜舰艇也称反潜舰艇,其发展历程包括最初单一舰种的猎潜艇,以及后来发展为多艇种的猎潜舰艇(反潜舰艇)。猎潜艇最早出现于第一次世界大战时,是以反潜武器为主要装备的小型水面战斗艇艇,主要用于近海搜索和攻击潜艇,还可担任巡逻、警戒、护航和布雷等任务。猎潜艇体积较小,艇速较高,搜索和攻击潜艇的能力较强,但适航能力较差,防护能力较弱,续航力和自给力较小,适于在近海与其他舰艇协同并以编队与潜艇作战。非常遗憾的是笔者虽经多方努力,仍未觅到猎潜艇邮票。
