日日面对书案上方我为吴作人师画的素描像,转头又见书斋门额挂着先生题写的『胜寒楼』匾,似乎墨痕犹湿,总觉得他并未离我们而去。从『胜寒楼』三个丰满、遒劲、浑穆、灵动的大字,使我联想到先生笔下的牦牛、骆驼、雄鹰、熊猫、玄鹄等,皆被赋予永恒的生命。李白诗序:『夫天地者万物之逆旅,光阴者百代之过客』。人的生涯,即使寿届耄耋期颐,相对宇宙之无限,不过一瞬而已。然而历代杰出的文学家、艺术家的伟大创造,却永远活在人们心里。吴作人先生无疑与他的精粹作品同垂不朽。作人师的音容笑貌,不仅近几年他和我一起唱苏州民歌时那兴高采烈的神 Faced with a sketch of the painting of Master Wu Zuoren at the top of the book case, he turned around and saw the plaque titled “Sheng-han Building” inscribed in the front of the booklet.
