Suburban villages in the suburbs of the rapid urbanization process was classified as urban areas, from 2010 onwards, began to face the government to promote the transformation of the village in the city. With the strong resistance of villagers and the intervention of external forces, the reconstruction of villages in villages in small villages has reached an impasse. This uncommonly demographic deadlock at the village level has gradually exposed the long-term impact of the renovation of the villages in the villages on the daily life of the villagers. This article examines the impact of rehabilitation on the family and intergenerational relationships in villages as well as the living conditions of the elderly. The study found that the transformation of villages in the villages experienced by the village is not only a plundering of the peasants’ economy, but also a forced change of their way of life. In this upheaval, the high compensation and housing monetization sharpen the members’ contention for property under the common concept of property families, which were originally ambiguous. Continuation of the inter-generational family division of labor in the village makes the elderly deteriorating living conditions while becoming the main force of resistance and the village community tends to collapse.
