GM EMD宣布,其最新的二冲程直流扫气710G系列柴油机将于近期投入成批生产。710G系列柴油机缸径为230.2mm,行程为279.4mm, 与645系列柴油机相比,可以提供更大的功率。该型发动机有8、12、16和20缸几种型式,可供铁路、工业、船舶和油井钻探之用。本文叙述从645系列发动机到710G系列发动机的发展过程,着重指出两种发动机的设计区别,包括性能及有关结构的特点。710G系列柴油机采用新的高效率涡轮增压器和最新设计的GM组合式泵-喷油器,这两种装置能显著改善燃油经济性,并提高新系列发动机的功率范围。
GM EMD announced that its latest two-stroke DC scavenger 710G series diesel engine will be put into mass production in the near future. 710G series diesel engine bore is 230.2mm, stroke is 279.4mm, compared with 645 series diesel engine, can provide more power. The engine is available in several versions of 8, 12, 16 and 20 cylinders for railroad, industrial, marine and oil well drilling applications. This article describes the evolution from the 645 series engine to the 710G series engine, highlighting the design differences between the two engines, including performance and related structural features. The 710G Series diesel engines feature a new high-efficiency turbocharger and the newly designed GM combined pump-injector, both of which significantly improve fuel economy and increase the power range of the new series of engines.
