This article describes the spectrophotometric determination of atropine (Ⅰ), pilocarpine (Ⅱ) and brucine (Ⅲ) with chlororan acid (CA). The authors discuss the formation mechanism of the complex and confirm that a complex of 1: 1 can be quantitatively formed if CA is excess.
