The trajectory, velocity and acceleration equation of cutting head for horizontal boring machine are established. The effects of cutting head speed and horizontal oscillating speed on the relative rate of change of cutting speed and acceleration are studied by computer simulation. Reasonable choice of cutting head operating parameters provide the theoretical basis
