2005年5月,京华时报社社长吴海民提出“都市报的冬天提前来到了”的判断;接着,他接受笔者专访时,指出报纸进入“冬天”的深层原因在于新媒体的崛起和冲击,并由此提出“报纸的冬天将相当漫长”;随后他发表了《中国媒体大变局》的长文。一年过去了,吴海民社长在今年又作出了“报业的衰退期已经开始”的判断和思考。
In May 2005, Wu Haimin, president of Jinghua Times, put forward the judgment that “the metropolitan newspaper’s winter came ahead of schedule”.
