Sixty years ago, on June 26, 1946, Li Xiannian led 50,000 troops of the Central Plains Military Region and started a campaign to open up the Central Plains that stunned China and other countries in the area of Xuanhua Branch in Dawu County, Hubei Province. This opened the prelude to the People’s Liberation War and sounded the death of Chiang Kai- Family dynasty’s death knell.
