The importance of determination of trace elements in high purity reagent and the principle, characteristics and advantages of IDMS in trace analysis are summarized. The application of IDMS method in the analysis of high purity reagents was introduced through typical examples. The purification and mass spectrometry determination of the reagents were reviewed.
