The authors performed a transcranial Doppler (TCD) examination of a group of acute non-traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), analyzed the impact of hematoma volume on intracranial blood flow asymmetry, and evaluated the noninvasive nature of TCD The method used to monitor the significance of local mass effect was evaluated. Exclusion criteria: (1) deep coma; (2) hematoma removal or ventriculostomy; (3) history of ischemic stroke or internal carotid artery stenosis; (4) trauma, neoplasms, aneurysms, Venous malformations, coagulopathy-related bleeding were selected according to the supratentorial ICH30 cases (20 males and 10 females; age 41
