Objective To investigate the expression of small RNA-95 (miR-95) in breast cancer and its clinical significance. Methods Forty-eight cases of breast cancer specimens and 10 cases of hyperplasia of mammary glands were selected as the control group. Quantitative analysis of miR-95 was performed by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. Results Compared with the control group, the expression of miR-95 in breast cancer tissues was significantly up-regulated (P <0.05). The expression of miR-95 was significantly correlated with TNM staging of breast cancer, but not with age, menstrual status and axillary lymph node metastasis (P> 0.05). Conclusion The expression of miR-95 in breast cancer tissues is significantly increased, suggesting that it may promote the growth of breast cancer as a proto-oncogene, which is of great significance for the occurrence and development of breast cancer.
