从《情断状元楼》、《风流才子》到《武后与婉儿》、《曹公外传》、《田姐与庄周》、《少年齐桓公传奇》(即《三杀小白》),我已和台湾国光剧团豫剧队间接或直接合作了六部大戏,和他们结下了很深的友谊和不解之缘。至今我还不知道大陆有没有其他作曲家比我们合作得更多。他们对我的称呼从“糟老头子”、“怪老头子”变成了“快活老顽童”、“阳光男孩”;我对他们的看法也从“最多是50年代的豫剧,肯定陈旧、保守”转变为“时代感
