端粒酶作为一种负责延长端粒的核蛋白逆转录酶,对于细胞染色体的稳定性和细胞活性的维持有重要作用。端粒酶的活性在正常组织中被抑制,而在恶性肿瘤细胞中其阳性率可达84%~95%。故而端粒酶的恶性转化,对于恶性肿瘤的发生和发展有着潜在的关联。针对这一现象,并结合端粒酶本身的特点,人们开发出端粒酶抑制剂以治疗恶性肿瘤。
Telomerase, a nuclear protein reverse transcriptase responsible for prolonging telomeres, plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the cell chromosome and maintaining cell activity. Telomerase activity is inhibited in normal tissues, while in malignant cells the positive rate of up to 84% to 95%. Therefore, the malignant transformation of telomerase has a potential correlation with the occurrence and development of malignant tumors. In response to this phenomenon, combined with the characteristics of telomerase itself, people have developed telomerase inhibitors to treat malignant tumors.
