设计数字系统的过程一般可分为:系统功能定义、算法描述、硬件综合、性能估价和测试。算法描述是设计系统时较为困难的任务,硬件综合则与实现系统结构的器件有关。采用有限自动机ASM图(algorithmic state machine chart)的设计方法,是以一种类似于程序流程图的形式来描述系统的功能,借用顺序、判断、循环等结构,自上而下地进行设计,能明确地表达算法,使之易读和便于验证。用ASM图描述的算法,能在不同的级别上转换为相应的硬件结构,或微处理器系统中的软件程序。我们用此法设计
