Installing a straight cylinder shaft 2 in a piston engine instead of a crankshaft eliminates the need for difficult-to-machine work (Soviet patent a.c.1038487). There are no spindles on the shaft and various grooves and so on. The piston 3 does not move, and two working chambers are formed by the cylinder cavity, the piston and the end surface of the cover 5, so that the cylinder 4 reciprocates through the rotation of the two working chambers. The rotary motion of the shaft is transmitted by two counter-rotating clutches 1 operating in opposite directions. Therefore, each stroke in the cylinder with a pulse with shaft rotation.
