Objective To investigate the relationship between acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events and metabolic syndrome. Methods A total of 403 hospitalized patients were enrolled. Among them, 205 were acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, and 198 were non-cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The blood glucose, blood lipids, body mass index and blood pressure were measured. Acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events And metabolic syndrome. Results (1) The levels of blood glucose, blood lipid, body mass index and blood pressure in acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events group were higher than those in control group (P <0.01). (2) The incidence of metabolic syndrome in acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events group was 48.8%. The incidence of metabolic syndrome in acute coronary syndrome, acute cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage were 51.3%, 56.9% and 37.1% respectively. (3) There are different manifestations of metabolic indices of ischemic cardiovascular events and hemorrhagic cardiovascular events. Conclusion Metabolic syndrome is closely related to acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, suggesting that effective control of metabolic disorders, is conducive to the prevention and treatment of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.
