党的十七届四中全会,决定进一步加强和改进新形势下党的建设,而党的纪律是党建必不可少的内容,严明党纪是维护党的团结统一、完成党的历史使命的重要保证。作为党的根本大法之《党章》,是各级党组织和全体党员必须遵守的党内最高准则;其关于纪律的要求和规定,有力的推进了党的纪律建设。从建党88年以来历次《党章》关于党纪的规定和要求来回顾党的纪律建设发展历程,对深入贯彻落实四中全会《决定》具有现实意义。
