数字是文化的一部分,它反映文化的各个方面。不同的文化背景下,数字所隐含的意义相似又或不同。本文挑选了英汉数字中比较具代表性的数字进行分析,比较其相似或不同的文化内涵,以及形成的原因。同时,本文还探讨了英汉数字词语翻译的方法,并根据实际情况灵活运用。只有正确理解英汉数字词所隐含的文化内涵,才能使翻译更准确,才能更有效地进行跨文化交际。
Numbers are part of culture and reflect all aspects of culture. Under different cultural backgrounds, the implications of numbers are similar or different. This article chooses the more representative figures of English and Chinese numbers to analyze and compare their similar or different cultural connotations and the reasons for their formation. At the same time, this article also explores the method of translating English and Chinese digital words, and according to the actual situation of flexible use. Only by correctly understanding the cultural connotation implied by English-Chinese numerical words can we make translation more accurate and make cross-cultural communication more effective.
