本田技研研制的轻便小型摩托车参加了由日本环境厅、东京都等主办的“91低公害车型展览会”,并在1992年进行车辆商品化研究工作。本田技研的这辆无噪声、大功率及能平滑运行的CUV-ES车,是以销售量最大、年青人最亲味的“迪奥”车为基础的。该车在原来燃料油箱的位置上设置了镍锌蓄电池(容量48V34Ah,质量20kg),发动机采用磁铁式DC无电刷电动机。该车装有车辆充电器,在家庭用电源上只需充电5h便可一次运行80km(30km/h),夜晚插上插座,第二天充电完毕非常方便,车辆总质量80kg。
