The thin-layer leaching process developed by Holmes & Narver to process copper and uranium ores aggregates various parameters of the leaching process: 1. Crude ore to 1/4 inch. 2. In a rotating drum, mix the crushed ore with concentrated acid to increase the moisture content to 10%. 3. Cook the mixture in the stack for 16-24 hours. 4. Shop 30-40 inches thick ore layer. 5. Spray with ’rinse’solution
