在中华人民共和国成立66周年之际,中共中央总书记习近平特别邀请来自内蒙古、广西、西藏、宁夏、新疆5个自治区的13名基层民族团结优秀代表,来到北京参加国庆活动。9月30日下午,习近平总书记在人民大会堂亲切会见他们,并同他们合影留念。下午5时许,人民大会堂新疆厅内气氛热烈。看到习近平已经等候在这里,13名代表兴奋地围拢到总书记身旁,纷纷介绍家乡变化和自己的生活、工作情况。习近平同代表们一一握手、亲切交谈。
At the 66th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, specially invited 13 outstanding representatives of grassroots nationalities from Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Tibet, Ningxia and Xinjiang Autonomous Regions to come to Beijing for the National Day celebration. On the afternoon of September 30, General Secretary Xi Jinping met them cordially in the Great Hall of the People and took a group photo with them.
