The authors compared composite resin repair with and without acid etching to determine the effectiveness of acid etching in the repair of cavities of type IV, V and III. Among 540 people, 136 teeth were acid-etched and 523 teeth were acid-etched for composite resin repair. Conventional Preparation of Ⅲ or Ⅴ type holes made slightly modified for acid etching. Class IV caves were fixed in the non-acid etching for the pulp, and were not treated with the acid-etched type IV cofferdam. The patient is regularly reviewed and photographed every six months. The total observation period was 6-45 months and was evaluated according to the following classification: 1. Broken or missing prosthesis 2. Edge staining 3. Marginal integrity and abrasion 4.
