我国著名历史学家、北京大学历史学系原系主任王天有教授因病不治,于2012年12月8日仙逝。天有教授走了,对史学界,特别是明史学界是重大损失;天有教授走了,对《明清论丛》更是重大损失。天有教授为学、为人,永远值得我们追念。王天有教授从《明清论丛》创办第一天起,就和我一起出任主编。天有与我是同门校友,在北大历史系本科,我们住在楼上楼下,毕业后虽然各奔东西,但学术上的缘分让我们又走到了 Professor Wang Tianyou, a famous historian and former director of the Department of History of Peking University, died of illness on December 8, 2012.
