Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain that has been demonstrated in neuronal cultures of the cerebral cortex. Numerous studies have shown that any factor that leads to deficient GABA systems in the brain decreases the threshold for convulsions in animals. Our previous work found that P 77 PMC in genetic convulsion-induced seizure induced by Pei Yinquan in Beijing Medical University was susceptible to artificial convulsions induced by artificial hyperthermia at 20-30 days after birth
