鲤鱼是我国主要的淡水养殖鱼类之一。荷元鲤是国家水产总局长江水产研究所用红荷包鲤做母本,元江鲤做父本,进行杂交的后代。它具有体高,背厚,肉肥,味美,性情温和,食性强,生长快,病害少,成活率高等优点。但其亲本元江鲤原产云南省,红荷包鲤原产江西省,为了探索它在北方是否也能成熟、繁殖及其杂交优势如何,我们于1979年在石家庄地区鱼种场进行了引种与繁殖的试验,并获得成功。
