Finishing Foreword Guo Yingqiu (September 1909 - October 1985) former Party Secretary of Renmin University of China, vice president, honorary president, “Cultural Revolution” served as cultural and educational secretary of the New Party. He is an old communist who joined the revolution back in the 1930s. He is also a famous educator, scholar and poet, and a teacher and predecessor whom I admire very much. I had the honor to assist him in organizing the memoirs and for that reason spent more than two months in front of his sickbed in May-July 1984. During this period, he had embarrassed me and dulled a lifetime of experience. From his childhood, he talked about the revolutionary campaign until the Cultural Revolution. The oral content was published in 1986. However, due to various conditions at that time, the book’s time limit was only 1957, he resigned from Yunnan governor to Nanjing University as principal . Much has since been said about him, especially the little-known facts about the “Cultural Revolution”, which have yet to be sorted out and published. Based on the oral recordings of Guo Yingqiu, his personal experiences in the “Cultural Revolution” are collated and made public.
