无焰法原子吸收光谱测定微量元素带来一个很重要的问题就是背景干扰,既使用氘灯也不能扣除强烈的背景干扰。利用塞曼效应可得到较满意的解决。日本在1976年成功地把塞曼效应用于原子吸收中,我国中科院环境化学所于1978年开始研制,经过两年多努力制成了ZM-1型塞曼效应原子吸收分光光度计。仪器的主要技术指标达到了国外同类型仪器的水平,并可测定钇、锆等稀土元素。仪器全部采用国产元件,便于推广生产。
