用水代替液压系统中的油,这一新技术是由英国Scot-Tech有限公司的子公司——Fenner Group公司与英国工商部国家技术实验室(UK Department of Trade andIndustry’s National Engineering Laborato-ry)(NEL)合作研究的. 1978年NEL开始研究了以水为介质的液压技术,其目的在于减少油在液压技术中的用量.水是最早的液压传递介质,但水有腐蚀性,其润滑性能也差.油的价格较高,有着火的危险.为此,研究了两种物质的混合介质,其中水的比例可以达到95%。

In 1978, NEL began to study hydraulic technology using water as its medium. Its purpose is to reduce the amount of oil used in hydraulic technology. Water is the first hydraulic transmission medium, but water is corrosive and its lubrication performance is also poor. The price of oil is high and there is a danger of fire. For this reason, a mixed medium of two substances was studied, in which the proportion of water could reach 95%.
