艺术,无论以何种形式、何种流派存在,都必将呈现美、真理、快乐、崇高、正义,而这些都不仅仅从真实的社会生活中获得。作为既定文化的一部分,艺术是肯定的;而作为既定现实的异化,艺术又是一种否定力量。艺术从产生、发展,到时下的蓬勃,一直以这两种力量相互抗衡,相互协调。反观西方戏剧的发展,无不体现出这两种力量冲突的思维和行为,这种精神源于西方戏剧史高峰时期的转型时代。
Art, no matter what form and genre exists, is bound to show beauty, truth, happiness, loftiness and justice, and these are not just obtained from real social life. As a part of the established culture, art is affirmative; while as a reality of alienation, art is a negative force. From the birth and development of art to the flourishing moment, art has been balancing and coordinating with each other through these two forces. On the contrary, the development of western drama reflects the thinking and behavior of these two conflicts of power. This spirit stems from the era of transition in the peak of western drama history.
