记者:不久前,国家统计局局长刘洪提出,目前统计方法制度的改革已经到了非常紧迫的时候,近期以至更长一段时间内,统计改革的重点就是改革统计方法制度,请问卢局长,这一要求是在什么背景下提出的呢?卢春恒副局长:1993年以来,我们虽然在建立适合我国社会主义市场经济体制的统计制度方法改革方面进行了一些探索,对原有制度方法进行了一系列改革,但在很多方面还很不适应形势发展的需要.统计制度方法改革滞后,仍是制约整个统计工作改革进一步深化的瓶颈.特别是在学习贯彻十五大精神的过程中,我们更感到了改革的迫切性.目前统计制度方法中存在的问题主要表现在以下几个方面:
