In late years in the United States of Arizona and other cotton areas, the damage to Heliothis Virescens of late-mid-stage cotton has risen. A decisive factor is that tobacco budworm resistance to commonly used insecticides has evidently developed. Along with the resistance to organochlorine pesticides in the past, the resistance of organophosphate insecticides may have been implicated today and there has been a great development. Wolfenbarger and Mc Garr (1970) reported that tobacco budworms in Rio Grande Valley have become resistant to methyl parathion and monocrotophos. Nemec and Adkisson (1969) also tested the resistance of tobacco budworm populations to these agents at the University of Texas test station. Harris et al. (1972) published a tobacco worm resistance
