念祺兄:近好,到此地一晃已一段时间了。这里的生活当然和上海完全不一样。但想起在家的时候,大家海阔天空、群言无忌的日子,这里的日常生活可谓是刻板的可以。非常怀念大家,这种感觉是大家在一起厮混的时候不会有的。哈佛确实是全世界最好的读书地方,这里没有其他生活。剑桥镇的人口大都是青年学生,很少见中老年人。整个生活节奏跟着学生走,有生气,活跃,如果有缺点的话,便是城市里没什么市民生活,见不到各式人等,也闷。在普遍不爱读书的美国人中,哈佛大约是一个读书特区。这条件,不是欧洲、中国这样喜欢读书的民族所能置备得起的。哈佛一燕京国图书馆只是全校100个图书馆中的一个,已是应有
