Objective To investigate the possible effect of high G acceleration on the cervical spine of pilots and its clinical significance. Methods A group of normal fighter pilot cervical spine X-ray analysis, the same set of normal ground crew radiographs, the common abnormal X-ray signs combined with the clinical situation to discuss the analysis and comparison. Results The incidence rate of cervical incision in pilots was significantly higher than that in control group. The neck straightening, contralateral or lateral bending were more significant than those in control group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in cervical intervertebral space stenosis. The incidence of cervical spondylosis in the control group was significantly higher than that of the pilot group. Conclusion Acceleration load may be one of the main factors to accelerate cervical degeneration. However, the degenerative changes of cervical spine indicated by X-ray does not necessarily mean the occurrence of clinical symptoms. It is of great clinical significance for pilots to routinely keep sports on the prevention of cervical clinical symptoms .
