据统计,我国目前共有机械采油井在油田开发中约占油井总数的90%左右,采油系统的年耗电量已经超过注水系统,成为油田生产中的第一能耗大户,而抽油机采油系统所消耗的能量,已超过油田总用电量的三分之一。青海油田采油三厂共有抽油机井近500口,年耗电量在2000×104kW.h左右。然而,由于抽油机及抽油泵工作原理等自身的缺点,普遍存在着“大马拉小车”、能源使用效率较低的现象,如果在能源使用效率上提高1%,年节电量便可达20×104kW.h。
