地理是一门与实际生活、生产密切相关的学科,地理教学是教师以《地理课程标准》为依据,有计划、有目标、有次序地将地理知识传授给学生的过程。其内容是人类长期从生产、生活中积累和总结的地理经验,实质是让学生能够认知地理现象并掌握地理规律,最终目的是为生产、生活服务并对人类的生活加以指导。地理知识是生活学习的基础和工具,其核心价值在于运用。学会生存是现代公民应该有的素质,地理教学对培养现代公民必备的学生会生存的素养有明显的学科优势。地理的课堂教学是进行生存能力教育的主要阵地,课堂对学生的能力要求和终身发展提出了比以往任何时候都有要高的要求。
Geography is a discipline closely related to actual life and production. Geography teaching is a process in which teachers teach geography knowledge to students in a planned, targeted and orderly way on the basis of “geography curriculum standards”. Its content is the human’s long-term accumulation and summary of experience in production and life. The essence is to enable students to understand the geographical phenomena and grasp the laws of geography, with the ultimate goal of serving the production and daily life and guiding human life. Geographical knowledge is the foundation and tool of life learning, its core value lies in the use. Learning to survive is a quality that modern citizens should have. Geographical teaching has obvious advantages in the subsistence of the students who are necessary to cultivate modern citizens. Geographical classroom teaching is the main front for the viability education. The classroom poses higher demands on students’ ability and lifelong development than ever before.
