山西省轩岗矿务局焦家寨矿副立井井深309m,表土层厚52m,表土层以河床相砂卵石层和砂砾石层为主,采用降低水位法凿井。 四个降水孔是井心布孔一个,井外布孔三个。井心孔和井下巷道贯通,一孔二用,表土层施工做为泄水孔,基岩施工作为反井钻机导孔。井外三孔均布,安装潜水泵抽水,降低地下水水位。井心孔把降水后剩余的残余水柱部分涌水泄到井下,这样改善了井底工作面的劳动条件,井筒顺利地通过了表土层段。
